Addition of HELL Mode

After clearing the game, a new HELL difficulty will be unlocked. You can switch to the HELL difficulty from the sign at the airship exit. When playing on HELL, Noah will be instantly knocked out by any damage, so stay alert and sharpen your reflexes! Your progress through HELL mode will be written on the airship signboard.

New Ruins Areas: Grand Treasure Vault, Elemental Monster Lair, and Trey's Bonus Stages

Grand Treasure Vault

Grand Treasure Vaults will appear in the ruins. You'll need three keys to open the treasure chest within, so keep that in mind when deciding where to use your keys.

Elemental Monster Lair

This special lair will appear in the ruins. The traps and rewards will be determined by the element you choose. Dodge the traps and smack down your foes to snag those sweet rewards!

Trey's Bonus Stages

This minigame will appear in the ruins. Talk to Trey and race to destroy as many targets as possible within the time limit. The more targets you destroy, the better the rewards!

New Lilliput: Ace

Ace, a new Lilliput, will be added to the game. Ace's blade makes quick work of foes, crushing them with overwhelming force.

Extra Item Slot in the Shop

An extra item will be added to the shop, increasing the items in stock from five to six. Make sure you've got enough gold to get everything you need for your adventure!

If you've saved and quit the game in the shop and the update is installed, "SOLD OUT" will be displayed over the sixth item slot. This only affects the shop in which you saved your game.

Additional Anti-Aliasing Options

Low- and high-quality options will be added to the Anti-Aliasing section in the Options menu for the Steam version of the game.

Mechanics

Addition of Witch's Trials

The Witch's Trials, a gauntlet battle against powerful foes, will become available after clearing the game. Begin the trials by entering through the portal on the left side of the airship.

Each of the trials will have a battle phase and shop phase. You will begin each battle with a set amount of gold, which will change depending on each trial's results. Use the gold to buy items for the next trial and battle your way to victory!

The trials will also be timed—challenge yourself and see how fast you can sweep through your foes!

An Endurance Trial mode will also be available. In this mode, the items available in the shop will remain the same after each battle. Additionally, Noah's stats will stay the same regardless of any airship repairs, and statues and avatars will be unequipped.

These conditions will not change throughout the trial, so players will be able to compete with others to finish it in the shortest amount of time. Other trial modes will also be available.

Title Screen DLC Link

A link to purchase the DLC will be added to the title screen.

HARD Mode Toggle

The option to toggle between modes will be accessible from the airship.

Lilliput Adjustments

Adjustments will be made to some Lilliputs.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the HP recovery display for HARD difficulty
  • Resolved an issue where the incorrect reset dialogue was displaying after Noah got knocked out in a specific battle
  • Adjusted movements when descending from platforms
  • Fixed an issue where attack and dash commands were canceled if Noah drank a potion
  • Disabled vibration for the DualShock Controller in the Steam version

Mechanics

Addition of VERY HARD Mode

This option will be available upon completing the game, along with VERY HARD+ and VERY HARD++ difficulties upon additional completions.

Playable Zipper

Upon completing the game, the option to select Zipper will be unlocked in the Avatars menu.
When playing as Zipper, the following changes will be made to gameplay:

  • Initial Lilliputs will be randomized.
  • Zipper has less HP and is unable to use potions.
  • Zipper has increased movement speed and jumping power, along with the ability to perform a double jump.
  • Dashing grants invincibility for a brief moment after startup.
  • Aether Thrust has an increased number of hits, but inflicts less damage.
  • Activating Avatar Burst briefly grants invincibility and reduces cooldown time between Aether Thrusts.

Toggle Airship Facilities On and Off

Airship facilities along with the appearance of Lilliputs and accessories can be toggled off to tweak gameplay difficulty. Once airship repairs reach 30%, you will be able to access these settings in the Customize Game menu from the Airship. When an Airship facility is restricted, its effects won't apply to Noah; restricting the appearance of Lilliputs and Accessories will cause them to not appear during expeditions. Airship repairs won't be affected while these options are in effect, so feel free to experiment with them to your liking.

Text Adjustments

Some adjustments have been made to in-game text.
